Hugh Feidhlim Woods MB, B.Ch, BAO (Hons), MRCP Current Position: Health Care consultant
Dr Feidhlim Woods undertook his secondary and tertiary education in Dublin, Ireland. He graduated with honours from the Medical College of University College, Dublin in 1972. Following internships in his training hospital in Dublin he undertook postgraduate studies in general and specialist medicine in Leicester, UK and was granted MRCP (UK) in 1975.
He commenced specialty training in Nephrology in Leicester, UK in 1975 and completed his specialty training in King’s College Hospital, London between 1977 and 1979. Whilst at KCH he undertook a significant body of basic and clinical research mainly in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis in renal disease and in extracorporeal blood therapies. His research resulted in numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and he co-authored chapters in several reference text books.
In 1979, Dr. Woods was appointed Nephrology Consultant by the Ministry of Health, Kuwait and in 1982 he was appointed Head of Nephrology Services to the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman. During his seven years in the Sultanate of Oman Dr. Woods was responsible for the establishment from a zero base of General and Pediatric Nephrology, Acute and Chronic Maintenance Dialysis and Renal Transplantation services.
In 1990, Dr.Woods was appointed Medical Director to the National Kidney Foundation, Singapore. During his 8 years as Medical Director, NKFS, the chronic dialysis program of the NKF grew from 130 to over 1000 patients and the program established an international reputation for the high quality of treatment provided and the exceptional outcomes for its patients. While in Singapore, he was Congress Director for the 1st International Congress on Transplantation in Developing Countries. In 1994 and 1996 he was the Scientific Chairman for the 1st and 2nd International Congresses on Dialysis in Developing Countries.
In 1997 Dr.Woods joined Fresenius Medical Care as Medical Director for the South Asia Pacific region. One year later he was appointed MD for the entire Asia Pacific region and subsequently he was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President.
Dr. Woods is now resident in Ireland and provides health care consulting and advisory services to Fresenius Medical Care in Asia Pacific.

Dr Ingrid LEDEBO
Ingrid Ledebo is a native of Lund, a small town in southern Sweden with a university from 1666. She studied biochemistry and microbiology at Lund University and her PhD in microbiology was achieved in 1974. Her university career included positions as Lecturer and Dean of Microbiology. In 1980 Ledebo started to work for Gambro, the head office being located in her hometown, and since that time she has been closely associated with the science of dialysis. Within Gambro she has held various positions starting out as responsible for International Education and presently as Director of Scientific Affairs in Research & Development.
Ledebo has contributed to numerous national and international nephrology- and dialysis-related congresses with presentations on topics focusing, in the 80s and 90s, on biocompatibility, acid-base balance and the use of bicarbonate in dialysis, and later on dialysis fluid quality issues and technical and clinical characteristics of convective dialysis therapies. She has published around 50 scientific papers and book chapters, the majority on fluid quality and convective therapies. Ledebo is also responsible for the worldwide surveys on dialysis issues – Dialysis Opinions - that are conducted by Gambro at international meetings and often reveal unexpected opinions and trends from the dialysis community.

Dr Bruce F. CULLETON, MD FRCPC
Dr. Culleton is a Senior Medical Director for Baxter Healthcare in Deerfield, Illinois and Adjunct Associate Professor with the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. In his current role with Baxter Healthcare, Dr. Culleton provides leadership to the Renal Division for the design and implementation of peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis clinical studies.
Prior to joining Baxter Healthcare in 2007, Dr. Culleton was a Clinical Associate Professor for the Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary (1999 – 2007) where he served as Medical Director of the Progressive Kidney Disease Program and the Peritoneal Dialysis Program for Southern Alberta.
Dr. Culleton received his degree in Medicine in 1991 from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He later completed his Nephrology training at Memorial University, and from 1997 – 1999, completed a research fellowship in Epidemiology at the Framingham Heart Study in Massachussetts.
Dr. Culleton has authored or co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed articles and 7 book chapters. He has served on a number of Advisory Boards and professional committees including the National Kidney Foundation’s committee on the Evaluation, Classification and Stratification of Chronic Kidney Disease, and the Canadian Hypertension Society’s guideline committee for the management of hypertension. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of KDIGO, and Chaired the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee for the Canadian Society of Nephrology from 2003 - 2007.

Dr. Matthew Kwok-Lung TONG Chief of Service, Chief of Nephrology - Department of Medicine & Geriatrics, Princess Margaret Hospital
Dr. Matthew Tong graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1976. He received training in Nephrology and Internal Medicine in Princess Margaret Hospital, Hong Kong, Royal Infirmary, New Castle Upon Tyne, UK and Toronto Western Hospital, Canada. He is the current Chief of Services of the Department of the Medicine and Geriatrics and the Head of the Division of Nephrology of Princess Margaret Hospital. He is also the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, the Hong Kong College of Physicians and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
He has served as the Past-President of the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation 2005 – 2007 and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Nephrology 1996 – 1998. He is the immediate Past-Chairman of the Specialty Board in Nephrology, Hong Kong College of Physicians. He is the current Chairman of the Basic Physician Training Board of the Hong Kong College of Physicians.
He has previously served as the Secretary General of the 2nd Congress of ISHD 2009, the ISN 2004 Conference on Prevention of Progression of Renal Disease Hong Kong 2004 and the 11th Congress of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis Hong Kong 2006. He was the Meeting Chair of the TTS New Key Opinion Leader Meeting organized by the Transplantation Society and Hong Kong Society of Transplantation in 2007. Dr. Tong has published in local, International journals, and oral book chapters in the areas of Peritoneal Dialysis, Haemodialysis and Renal Transplantation.
